Happy New Year!

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! We are glad you found our web page. What an exciting year God has planned for us since the beginning of time! "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." In this season and purpose of 2012 God is bring us an emphasis on His Kingdom and more specifically "governmental perfection" represented by the prophetic number 12.
To begin our week we feature "Corporate Prayer" and intercession Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. We pray corporately for our families, the marriages, the businesses, our city, and the counties in the state of Kansas. It is a powerful time with the Lord and for those who are called to prayer and worship.
Here at Church on the Rock we are proud to announce a new live Praise and Worship team led by Patrick and Morgan Barb. They have a "new sound" and a "new song" - the sound of heaven on earth. The music is anointed and the worship team is on fire! They will be playing every week at the Wednesday "RENEW" meetings and occasionally on Saturday night.
The Renew service on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. is designed especially for the college & high school age young adults. There they will experience good music, a practical bible message and time for fellowship, food and fun.
Wednesday also features "Around the Campfire" an adult cell group designed for a deeper revelation of the Word of God through Bible study and dialogue. NOTE: For both Renew and Campfire babysitting will be provided.
Weekly counseling for men and women and married couples is provided by appointment through "Covenant Rebuilders" by Robert & Jill Scheck, Christian marriage counselors. This is a "heart" and healing ministry men & women.
"Just For Women," a women's group meets once a month on a Friday night to have dinner, fellowship and talk about women's issues. This is open to all women in the community to come and enjoy time together.
Finally, at 6:00 on Saturday nights, we have our church service and celebration. It begins with praise and worship followed by a bible message and afterwards hospitality. We also have Children's church, toddler care and babysitting. This is a night for the entire family to come and celebrate our relationship with Jesus, our King.

Blessed baby Gabriel

This past weekend, Angelo and Angie brought their precious baby Gabriel up for dedication.  He was blessed by both of his parents, speaking into him wonderful things so he may grow up in the Lord and become a great man.  Patrick and Morgan were chosen to be the God parents and sang a wonderful song to the family.  While they were up there Angelo also made a fathers commitment to their son and family about how he was going to live his life serving the Lord and being a Godly example as both a husband and a father.

Here are a few pictures from the blessing:

Passion

As we enter into 2012, we hope that all of you have   perceived a “new fire,” a fire from within your heart for abundant life that we will be teaching are calling “PASSION.” Passion is what makes your life worth living. Your passions determine and contain much of your energy. We pray that you will be not only aware of your passions this year but also that you will exercise your God given dominion as you learn how they function and best benefit your journey. Tune in this week to the frequency and power from within and release positive energy from your words, your new attitude and emotions to bless others and enjoy the blessed life. Have a great week! Make it happen! Be a blessing each day!

"Governmental Perfection"

We have crossed over the threshold of the door of 2012 into a "new" season. Prophetically speaking, the year 2012 and the number 12 is the prophetic number of God's government, His rulership, His kingdom; in Hebrew it is the word "mamlakah," which implies governmental perfection. This will be a moment in time where God will stress once again His kingdom purpose so that we will understand and promote His kingdom principles of government.

Isaiah 43:19 says, "Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it?" Let us hear it, perceive it, know it and heed it!

There will be many changes and things renewed in church government, in local government, in state government and in world government. But more specifically, God wants to do something new in us, in the way we govern our lives and our hearts, as He is building His kingdom within us.

The number 12 represents the Church and God's authority. Jesus had 12 disciples, who by "something" or "someone" grew to be 12 apostles. There were the 12 tribes of Israel, who were the original church government. In the book of Revelation there are 24 elders and the 144,000 which are multiples of 12. Chapter 21 speaks of - The new Jerusalem city that has 12 foundations and the names written thereon of the 12 apostles of the Lamb. It has 12 gates and at the gates 12 angels. One of its dimensions is 12 thousand furlongs. It has in the middle a "tree of life" with 12 kinds of fruit which 12 times a year is eaten by 12 times 12,000 or the 144,000. Obviously, the number 12 is significant to God.

He will accomplish this purpose by a "new sound," carrying a "new frequency!" It will come as a "new song" with a "new sound" in Praise and Worship. It will be a sound of PASSION carrying a new anointing from the pulpit through the Word of the King. It might be new to many but not new to those who came before us. Because it will be the return of the familiar "sound" of heaven as of a mighty rushing wind that transformed 12 disciples into 12 apostles as they were in one accord in the upper room. It will come from the Voice of the Father, the Word of God, and through a deeper personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, Who is the governor of the Kingdom and it's government.

It is no coincidence that this comes in the year we are going to elect candidates for governmental offices and positions. Let's pray for all to be resonsible voters, responsible candidates and that God's kingdom and His government come on earth as it is in heaven to do His Will." Let us see integrity and righteousness restored in the White House, in our churches, in our families, in our marriages, and in our hearts. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray 'Holy Spirit help our nation and be our Helper. Governor Come!'"

Stay tuned to this station for the coming sound and more "good news" to come in the months ahead. May God bless you this year and keep you and yours, may His face shine upon you and may you be filled with his Love.

We love you!
Pastors Robert & Jill Scheck

A new sound

There is a new sound that needs to be released. It is the sound of us, throwing ourselves down, humbling ourselves before our King and letting Him rule over our hearts.
There is a new sound that needs to be heard. It is the sound of a Mighty Rushing Wind, blowing past our ears into our hearts, restoring our minds to the mind of Christ.
There is a new sound that needs to be released. It is the sound of every one who calls Jesus Lord, shouting to the powers and the principalities of this world that this is the Kingdom of God and we are no longer trapped in their snare.
There is a new sound that is going to be released, it is the sound of the chains falling off the hearts of the people.
This new sound is not a gentle whisper, no, it’s not a polite tap on the shoulder. This sound is an alarm clock, it is a wake up call. It is a trumpet blaring and a men declaring the Year of the Lord. This sound is bold and new and never been heard before. It is a call into freedom and out of bondage.
It is a call to drop everything you think you are and believe who God knows you are. It is a call to remind yourself what this life is really all about. This is a call to get a new priority.
It’s time to wake up, we are a generation of sleeping spiritual giants no more we are awake! Arise and boldly speak the Word of Truth to the bound, for you are bound no more and the answer you carry is freedom to the World.

1 Corinthians 2:8-16
which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written:
“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”[c]
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy[d] Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”[e] But we have the mind of Christ.

Just For Women's - Girls Night Out

The Future. This is usually a frightening statement to most people, however according to the Word of God, you have nothing to fear! Your future is full of hope and promise like it says in Jeremiah 29:11. Your future and your dreams are so important to the development of the Kingdom and the Lord has filled you with so many gifts and idea's, you are absolutely loaded! But so many of our dreams get lost in the busyness of our lives. It's is similar to going to the grocery store, if we don't take a list, we are bound to forget something, this is exactly why the Lord tells us to write down our visions in Habakkuk 2:2. We write down our visions in obedience to the Word of God. At Girl's Night Out we introduced the Dream/Vision Board! This is a fun way to compile your thoughts about things you would like to see in your future regarding your life, this can be specific! Do you have a vision of the perfect home, relationship, husband, job? Write it down and see how the Lord uses your written vision to guide and direct you to those things. It is amazing how simply obeying His Word in this way can lead to such focus and results! Once you write down your vision be faithful to the desires that the Lord placed in your heart and He will use your life as a testimony to His Power and Glory!

Here are a few photos from our evening:

We hope to see you all at our next Girls Night Out on October 14th at 6:30 at Rooftops! Please make sure to tell your friends and watch you e-mail for the invite!

New changes for a new season

As the seasons change on Earth so do the seasons change in the church.  Everything has it's time and season in which it operates and in this season we are making a few changes at Church on the Rock.  We will no longer be having Around the Campfire or Just for Women/ Real men meetings on Wednesday evenings.  Instead the Renew Discipleship Ministry will be meeting Wednesday evenings at 7pm.  This is a discipleship ministry that meets and discusses topics that helps all who attend to grow in their spiritual relationship with the lord.  It is an environment for youth to feel welcome and encouraged to speak and ask questions, however, all ages are welcome, as all ages can benefit!  For more information on our Renew group you can click on the Renew link to the right.

Just for Women will now be meeting once a month on a Friday.  They will be gathering somewhere in town most likely at a local restaurant for a womens' evening out filled with fellowship and a message.  You can call the church to find out the dates and locations each month.  Be sure to check out our calender for more information.

Pastor Robert has had some great messages lately, so if you haven't been able to make it to our Saturday service don't forget you can download the messages by clicking on the link to the right.

God Bless!

Patrick and Morgans Covenant Marriage

On Sunday May 29th Patrick Barb and Morgan Lynch exchanged vows in a Covenant marriage ceremony.  The couple exchanged not only their vows but laid down there rights and weapons in front of their guests.   It was a wonderful ceremony with many special moments such as the exchanging of tallits (prayer shawls), singing to one another and completing a puzzle signifying their unity.  Here are a few photos from the ceremony.  Congrats Pat and Morgan, may your marriage be blessed!
