Happy New Year!

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! We are glad you found our web page. What an exciting year God has planned for us since the beginning of time! "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." In this season and purpose of 2012 God is bring us an emphasis on His Kingdom and more specifically "governmental perfection" represented by the prophetic number 12.
To begin our week we feature "Corporate Prayer" and intercession Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. We pray corporately for our families, the marriages, the businesses, our city, and the counties in the state of Kansas. It is a powerful time with the Lord and for those who are called to prayer and worship.
Here at Church on the Rock we are proud to announce a new live Praise and Worship team led by Patrick and Morgan Barb. They have a "new sound" and a "new song" - the sound of heaven on earth. The music is anointed and the worship team is on fire! They will be playing every week at the Wednesday "RENEW" meetings and occasionally on Saturday night.
The Renew service on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. is designed especially for the college & high school age young adults. There they will experience good music, a practical bible message and time for fellowship, food and fun.
Wednesday also features "Around the Campfire" an adult cell group designed for a deeper revelation of the Word of God through Bible study and dialogue. NOTE: For both Renew and Campfire babysitting will be provided.
Weekly counseling for men and women and married couples is provided by appointment through "Covenant Rebuilders" by Robert & Jill Scheck, Christian marriage counselors. This is a "heart" and healing ministry men & women.
"Just For Women," a women's group meets once a month on a Friday night to have dinner, fellowship and talk about women's issues. This is open to all women in the community to come and enjoy time together.
Finally, at 6:00 on Saturday nights, we have our church service and celebration. It begins with praise and worship followed by a bible message and afterwards hospitality. We also have Children's church, toddler care and babysitting. This is a night for the entire family to come and celebrate our relationship with Jesus, our King.

A new sound

There is a new sound that needs to be released. It is the sound of us, throwing ourselves down, humbling ourselves before our King and letting Him rule over our hearts.
There is a new sound that needs to be heard. It is the sound of a Mighty Rushing Wind, blowing past our ears into our hearts, restoring our minds to the mind of Christ.
There is a new sound that needs to be released. It is the sound of every one who calls Jesus Lord, shouting to the powers and the principalities of this world that this is the Kingdom of God and we are no longer trapped in their snare.
There is a new sound that is going to be released, it is the sound of the chains falling off the hearts of the people.
This new sound is not a gentle whisper, no, it’s not a polite tap on the shoulder. This sound is an alarm clock, it is a wake up call. It is a trumpet blaring and a men declaring the Year of the Lord. This sound is bold and new and never been heard before. It is a call into freedom and out of bondage.
It is a call to drop everything you think you are and believe who God knows you are. It is a call to remind yourself what this life is really all about. This is a call to get a new priority.
It’s time to wake up, we are a generation of sleeping spiritual giants no more we are awake! Arise and boldly speak the Word of Truth to the bound, for you are bound no more and the answer you carry is freedom to the World.

1 Corinthians 2:8-16
which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written:
“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”[c]
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy[d] Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”[e] But we have the mind of Christ.
